Twisted Dessert Bar is located on the main road of Fitzroy, open everyday from 12pm till late. I invited a friend for a long weekend brunch and this is how it went.

They have a relaxing ambience with lovely music, a perfect place to chill out with friends or loved ones.

They have different varieties of desserts for gluten free or vegans plus a selection of hot drinks, alcohol free drinks and cocktails.

It was hard to choose since everything sounded so tempting, but the owner was so lovely and very passionate in explaining what the best option for us might be.

We settled on: Passionfruit Martini, Pina Colada, Japanese Pancakes, Sticky Fig Pudding with roasted coconut topping and the Biscoff Cookie Dough No-Bake Cheesecake.

The desserts are made from scratch using fresh ingredients, and you can with the first bite. The serving was generous with reasonable prices plus the platting was presented beautifully.

I love the “I’d share my dessert with you” note on the side of their menu, because all of their desserts were perfect for sharing.

Everything we ordered was so good. The sticky fig pudding with coconut topping was divine, perfect if you have a sweet tooth. You can taste the roasted apples and figs with a perfect balance of sweetness from the coconut. Japanese Pancakes are a perfect option for something less sweet. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, nicely paired with berries and ice cream. I fell in love with the texture and flavour of the biscoff and cookie dough cheesecake, it was delicious. Both drinks were refreshing and paired perfectly with the desserts.

That was a great catch up. If you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends or family, or a sweet treat after lunch or dinner-this is the spot.
