Twisted Dessert Bar is a great addition to the Brunswick Street restaurant scene. Offering up and extensive selection of reasonably priced desserts which can be paired with cocktails, mocktails, milkshakes and coffees, there’s something for everyone.
Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. As a result, they’re able to keep prices low with most desserts priced between $8 and $12.
We ordered to share Japanese pancakes, S’mores tart and Strawberry cheesecake. For drinks we went with a couple of alcohol free cocktails, the passion fruit martini and fruit punch.
Everything we ordered came out beautifully plated and was generously portioned. All the desserts were perfect for sharing.
My favourite was the S’mores tart featuring a biscuit base filled with decadent chocolate ganache and topped with meringue. It was superb, I loved the contrasting textures of the crunchy base, smooth chocolate and fluffy meringue. This is a great option for a chocolate lover.
Twisted Dessert Bar has several varieties of cheesecake. The cheesecake here isn’t made with and gelatine. We opted for the baked Strawberry cheesecake as it was served with lavender cream. The cheesecake was sweet, smooth, creamy and a gorgeous shade of pink..
The Japanese pancakes are a great option if you prefer your desserts to be less sweet. The pancakes nicely absorbed the ice cream and berries.
Both the fruit punch and passionfruit martini mocktails were refreshing and delicious. I love the concept of being able to pair your dessert with a cocktail, what a great way to end an evening.
Twisted Dessert Bar is open daily from 12pm till late and they have plenty of vegan and gluten free options.
